Biography

 

Sharmita Ghosh Situ is an enthusiastic researcher in the pharmacy as well as in the related biological areas. She has completed her Bachelor’s degrees (B.Pharm)  in pharmacy department under the life science field at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj 8100 (BSMRSTU), Bangladesh. Now, she is studying for Master’s degrees (M.Pharm) at the same university. Recently, she has been an active researcher at BioLuster Research Center Ltd (BLRCL). She is fascinated by neuroscience, cancer, phytochemicals, molecular docking, etc. Nevertheless, she is now looking for a Master’s or PhD opportunity from abroad in her related field. At the end, Sharmita Ghosh Situ is committed to creating significant contributions in the biological and pharmacological research areas.

Sharmita Ghosh Situ is an enthusiastic pharmacy researcher who is passionate about using science to improve healthcare. She graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from BSMRSTU's Department of Pharmacy, which is part of the Faculty of Life Sciences, Gopalganj-8100, Bangladesh. It took four years and eight semesters to earn a B.Pharm. In her B.Pharm degree, she successfully completed her project work on drug design and examination with the title “Sclareol Exerts Anticonvulsant Effect and Synergistic Properties with Carbamazepine Possibly through Voltage-Gated Sodium Channel Receptor Interaction Pathway’’ under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Torequl Islam. She finished her Secondary School Certificate (SSC) test under the Science Group at Barisal Govt. Model School & College, Barisal, and her Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam under the Science Group at Barisal Govt. Women's College prior to beginning her university studies.

  • Existing literature review to determine the natural compound's biological activity (sclareol)
  • Preclinical investigation of the effects of a natural substance (sclareol) on experimental animals' biological activity
  • Assessment of anti-convulsant activity in mice
  • Using ligand-receptor molecular docking to evaluate the molecular interaction
  • Evaluation of toxicity and in silico pharmacokinetics using a variety of computational techniques
